IKEA have collaborated with British Designer, Ilse Crawford, on a new collection of furniture and home accessories using natural materials. The new SINNERLIG collection by Ilse Crawford for IKEA will hit stores worldwide this August.
Cork Takes Centre Stage with the New Ilse Crawford for IKEA Collection
The main material used in the SINNERLIG collection is cork. The showpiece of the collection is by far the cork table with matching stools, which seemingly will come in both a light and dark version.
Other highlights include a large wooden lantern-like lampshade, reusable bottles and simple lighting pieces. The new collection by Ilse Crawford for IKEA is meant to be able to fit into any setting or room, no matter where in the world the product has been bought. A lofty aspiration indeed, but I think Crawford has pulled it off with this one.
Let me know in the comments what you think of the collection and whether you will be lining up at IKEA come August. I know I will.
